10 Beauty Hacks A Girl Must Know

I'm sure that every makeup enthusiast like me has pieces of beauty hacks (or even more) handy to utilize when the need arises. These beauty hacks that we know are something that we love sharing with our girlfriends or BAEs. I think my passion for reading and exploring things helped me big time in leveling up my hacking ability when it comes to skin care and everything in the beauty sphere.

Some would say, DIY junkies like me, are not practical. DIY and upcycling or repurposing any object are just a waste of time when you can buy ready made stuff from stores. Well, crafters have got bajillion of reasons that a 'practical' person could not understand. In a busy world like ours, people think that things can be done in a speedy fashion and upcycling and DIYing are almost impossible due to time constraints.

Three of my favorite things to do during the holidays are: 1.  DIYing/shopping (sharing the same spot) 2. Gift giving 3. GIFT WRAPPING!!! I used to be amazed when my mom or aunts would wrap the presents decades back but if I will still use their wrapping techniques 'til now, it'll surely be outdated. Currently, I have my cotton candy Christmas theme at our house. But when it comes to the presents, I decided to go minimal this time.

How To Cut Your Own Hair (Long Bob Haircut)

I usually trim my side-swept fringe when I get tired of my usual (messy bun) look. But last week, I have gone beyond my usual craziness and chopped my hair off. It is very easy and economical but make sure you use sharp scissors especially if your locks are as thick as mine.  

DIY: 2-ingredient Makeup Setting Spray

I have been wanting to try to make my own makeup setting spray so here it is now. I saw a lot of recipes on Pinterest but I chose the Aloe Vera gel without glycerin. Not only does it help your makeup stay in place for a long time but it also prevents your skin from getting dry especially under the sun. We will only be needing two ingredients, a spray bottle and you're good to go. 

1. Sanitize the bottle with hot water. Let it dry.
2. Pour one part of the Aloe Vera Gel and three parts of distilled water into the bottle.
3. Shake well. 

More tips:

• Hold the nozzle of the bottle 15-20 inches away from your face. You just want to mist your face and not get it wet.
• You can put more Aloe Vera gel if you have oily skin.
• You may add a few drops of Vitamin E oil for longer shelf life.
• You may also use this as Aloe hair spritz just by adding two squeezes of your favorite leave-in conditioner.

There you have it! You now have your very own makeup setting spray. It is easy to make and very economical. It just cost me less than $4 for everything I used. I am looking forward to using this in my upcoming MOTD posts. Until my next DIY post. Have a great day!

Summer is about to end in my country but is just setting-in in some parts of the world. For those of you who love going to the beach and love to beat the heat of the sun, you may also need a beach bag that would carry all your belongings and something that's nice to look at too! I've been seeing a lot of inspiration on Youtube and Pinterest so I decided to make my own bag as well. You don't really need to splurge on expensive ones if you can upcycle your old pullover or sweaters. You can also use your old over-sized shirts for this project. Remember, this is a NO-SEW project so it is easy and fun to recreate. All you need to prepare is an old pullover or shirt, a marker and a sharp pair of scissors! Let's get started!
