Service Review: Sample Room

I am an honest and not a nasty reviewer. In fact, I often give ultimatum to every service that I utilize (or product that I consume). One thing that saddens me as a consumer is that a lot of companies now fail to focus on giving their customer service representatives a thorough training in rendering not just a good but excellent customer (before and after sales) service.

Let's start with my experience with Sample Room Ph. I registered with them in February and was even willing to sign up for their VIP membership because it would HAVE BEEN my FIRST beauty subscription box ever. Being a first timer, I carefully followed all the instructions upon registration and read its FAQs and Terms and Conditions.

To be fair, I appreciated the prompt manner they responded to my email. I cooperated and answered to each email in real time.

From my email, you can obviously tell that I was really eager to get this issue resolved and finally access my account to no avail. I felt that my concern was just a minute issue to them. From the dates of the email, you can tell that I was really very patient waiting for the VERIFICATION CODE that never came.

If I hadn't made a follow up, I wouldn't be able to know their reason why the verification code could not be sent to my number (s). They're using CHIKKA, not to mention. I provided a lot of numbers but they were not able to come up with a resolution.

They got rid of me after almost a month. When I said, I was giving up, I felt that they didn't even feel an ounce of regret losing a potential customer and partner. They didn't even send me an email of regret or any sort. It was a major disappointment because I knew that I did everything to cooperate with them in order to solve this very LITTLE issue. Oh well, they're not the only beauty subscription box in the Philippines, there's BDJ Box. I have been hearing good reviews about them so I hope I won't encounter the same experience I had with Sample Room.

Verdict: Obviously, I'd give them TWO THUMBS...down. I won't recommend them at all.

Have you tried any of the beauty subscription boxes in the Philippines? Please let me know of your experience as well. Thank you for dropping by.

  1. Hello, I was looking for some reviews about Sample Room's Customer Service, and I am glad that I was not the only one who have experienced such disappointment. I have emailed them twice about a very MINOR issue/inquiry, and it has been two weeks yet they did not even bother replying. SERIOUSLY. I'm just glad that I found this post, because seeing all the good reviews made me want to continue "hoping" for their reply, but now I'd rather not deal with them since they can't even answer simple problems like ours.

  2. Why am I not surprised? Stumbling upon this post is somewhat. I've been wanting to let them know about this but I don't have a blog. Thanks for speaking on my behalf.

  3. aftersales care is essential for all retailers.. without it, their customer base will collapse.. any business that is only after your money and does not care for you as a consumer after transaction/deal does not deserve to be patronized
